Security forces seized approximately 230 kilograms of Kerala cannabis during a special operation conducted in the Vallai area, which falls under the Achchuveli Police Division, in the early hours of Saturday (07).
According to security sources, suspects transported the large consignment by vehicle and concealed it in a location within the area. Acting on confidential intelligence received by military intelligence officers, Special Task Force (STF) personnel launched a targeted search operation and surrounded the location before dawn.

Military intelligence officers provided information about the hidden stock of cannabis, prompting STF personnel to carry out the raid. During the operation, officers discovered and seized the entire consignment, preventing its possible distribution.
Authorities believe the suspects intended to store the drugs temporarily before moving them to another location. The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking in the Northern Province and disrupt organized criminal networks involved in the illegal drug trade.

STF officers stated that the suspects fled the area after learning about the approaching security operation. Although the raid resulted in a significant seizure, authorities have not yet arrested any individuals in connection with the case.Investigators continue to gather evidence and track down those responsible for transporting and hiding the narcotics.
