China Harbour Engineering Company Chairman Bai Yinsan and a delegation met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat today (13). During the meeting, Bai Yinsan said the President’s direct and visionary leadership has strengthened the company’s confidence in investing in Sri Lanka.
China Harbour Praises Port City Incentives.
Bai Yinsan thanked the government for the incentives granted to the Colombo Port City Special Economic Zone. He also praised the economic stability achieved under President Dissanayake’s leadership, noting that the improved environment has increased investor confidence in Sri Lanka.
Government Reaffirms Support for Foreign Investment.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized that foreign direct investment remains essential for Sri Lanka’s economic growth. He assured investors that the government will continue to provide the necessary support and facilities.
The President also highlighted the policy stability achieved through agreements with the International Monetary Fund and said the government aims to develop Colombo Port City into a leading economic hub. He further appreciated China Harbour’s assistance to communities affected by Cyclone Dithva and thanked the company for its contribution to relief efforts.
