Swiss Referendum on Immigration Sparks Debate Ahead of Vote.

Switzerland heads toward a crucial vote on immigration and population control.

The Swiss People’s Party has intensified its campaign against immigration by introducing a proposal titled “No to 10 Million Switzerland.” The proposal aims to prevent Switzerland’s population from exceeding 10 million people by tightening immigration controls and limiting the number of migrants entering the country.

Swiss authorities will hold a nationwide vote on the proposal on June 14. The issue has already created widespread political debate across the country, especially among immigrant communities and political parties.

Socialist Democratic Party Calls for Public Participation.

Siri Rasamanickam, a member of the Socialist Democratic Party in Switzerland, urged all Swiss citizens to take part in the upcoming vote. He advised voters to carefully read and understand the proposal before making a decision at the ballot box.

He also warned the public not to fall into confusion because of misleading opinions circulating on social media platforms. According to him, people should make informed decisions based on facts and official information.

Majority of Political Parties Reject the Proposal.

Apart from the Swiss People’s Party, every major political party in Switzerland has rejected the proposal. The Swiss government has also opposed the initiative and encouraged voters to vote against it.Many foreign residents and immigrant communities living in Switzerland have also expressed opposition to the proposal.
