Protest Demands Transfer of Teacher at Nanattan De La Salle College.

Parents and alumni unite to demand the transfer of a teacher, citing concerns over students' education and school administration.

Parents, alumni, and members of the School Development Society staged a protest in front of Nanattan De La Salle College on June 8, demanding the transfer of a teacher who handles media-related studies at the school.

The Nanattan De La Salle College Development Society organized the demonstration, which drew the participation of concerned parents, former students, and community members. Protesters claimed that the teacher’s performance had negatively affected media education at the school since the appointment.

Protesters Raise Concerns Over Teaching and Administration.

Participants accused the teacher of failing to cooperate with the school administration and the School Development Society. They also alleged that the teacher repeatedly created difficulties in administrative activities and contributed to unnecessary disruptions within the school environment.

Protesters stated that they had already submitted several complaints to the relevant educational authorities.

MP Receives Petition and Promises Action.

During the protest, Vanni District Member of Parliament M. Jegatheeswaran visited the site and held discussions with the demonstrators. Representatives of the School Development Society handed over a petition requesting the teacher’s transfer.

After receiving the petition, the parliamentarian assured protesters that he would take up the matter with the relevant authorities and work toward a solution within two weeks. Protesters warned that they would organize a larger demonstration if authorities failed to resolve the issue and insisted that officials prioritize the welfare of students by transferring the teacher without delay.
