Iran Rejects Any Deal Without Guarantees for Citizens’ Rights.

Tehran demands concrete guarantees before signing any deal with Washington.

Iranian Parliament Speaker and senior negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on Sunday that Tehran will not accept any agreement with Washington unless it guarantees the protection of the rights of the Iranian people.

Speaking after taking office again as the Speaker of Parliament, Ghalibaf addressed a video conference and stressed that Iran does not trust the promises made by its opponents. According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, he said Iran would only consider concrete results before fulfilling any commitments made during negotiations.

Iran Demands Concrete Assurances.

Ghalibaf said Iran continues to focus on securing measurable outcomes before moving forward with any political or diplomatic understanding. He pointed out that previous promises failed to build trust between both sides. Iranian leaders now seek guarantees that protect national interests and the rights of citizens before signing any long-term agreement with Washington.

The latest remarks highlight growing tensions surrounding diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States.

Ceasefire Talks Continue Amid Diplomatic Efforts.

Pakistan helped both sides implement a ceasefire agreement on April 8. However, later discussions held in Islamabad failed to achieve a permanent settlement. Afterward, U.S. President Donald Trump extended the ceasefire indefinitely in an attempt to reduce tensions.

Since then, Iran and the United States have continued exchanging proposals and counterproposals as both countries attempt to restart direct negotiations and bring the conflict to an end. Diplomatic sources expect further discussions in the coming weeks.
