A 51-year-old man lost his life after a brutal sharp weapon attack took place in the Dutugemunu Mawatha area, which falls under the Sri Lanka Police division of Peliyagoda in Colombo. Police confirmed that the incident occurred yesterday (24).Investigators identified the victim as a resident of Viharagama, Divulankadawala. According to initial police findings, the victim became involved in a heated argument with another group shortly before the fatal attack unfolded.
Police said the confrontation quickly escalated into violence. During the clash, one individual allegedly attacked the victim using a sharp weapon, causing critical injuries. The victim later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the assault.
